Personal trainer

Compares a workout with last week, shows progress on an exercise and suggests what to do next. Built on data from your sports watch.

Example commands

  • air g compare
  • air g progress rdl
  • air g status
  • air g next
  • air g today
  • air g add sick since yesterday
  • air g ask <question>

What it does

Every workout is recorded by a sports watch, so nothing is logged by hand. The trainer uses that data to answer questions like “how am I doing”, “compare with last week” or “what should I do next time”. Only what the watch can’t know is added by hand: tape measurements, or a note about being sick or on vacation.

How it’s built

  • A daily import on GitHub Actions saves activities, single strength sets and daily recovery data to Supabase.
  • Workouts from the same plan share an id, so “the same workout last week” is a simple query.
  • Comparisons and progress are computed by code, not AI. Those answers are exact and free.
  • Claude Sonnet writes the trainer’s answers. It remembers the last few, so it can follow up.
  • air g today prepares a daily report that can be sent to a human coach with one tap. It holds only workout and recovery details, never body measurements.

Status
